Over the weekend The Avocado Company received our first containers from the brand new Chilean harvest season for the Hass variety of avocados. The fruit’s looking bright and fresh and we can’t wait to taste it once we’ve worked our magic in our ripening rooms.
We visited our farms in Chile back in July when the fruit still needed time to mature on the trees. Seeing how it was developing then helped us get an idea of how much fruit we’d be likely to import and when we could begin. The farmers will keep harvesting this fruit until March next year. Until then, all hail the rich, buttery flavour of the Chilean avocado!
